MUNICIPALITIES SVOGE AND PALILULA CONTINUING COOPERATION

Within the program of International neighbourhood cooperation, delegation of City Municipality of Palilula, Milan Djurdjevic, President of Assembly and Bojan Ilic, Head of Municipal Administration, visited April, 7th brothers Municipality Svoge in Bulgaria. It was nice and useful meeting of leaders of two municipalities. With the host, Emil Atanasov, President of Municipality Svoge and its associates, Veronika Marinova, Secretary of Municipality and project team, (Slivija Angelova, Petranka Dimitrova) was discussed about previous activities of cooperation of two municipalities, current plan and program of work, project activities and the possibility of joint approach with potential donors. It was agreed that both sides exchange calendar of manifestation and determine forms of cooperation until the end of this year.

After visit to the Svoge Municipality, management of City Municipality of Palilula visited and representatives of Administration of Palilula Municipality who are in training in partners Municipality Kyustendil (Bansko) in Bulgaria with which Palilula realizing project “Strengthening of Municipal capacity to improve the quality of life for socially vulnerable groups”, from program Exchange 3, financed by European Union, through Standing Conference of Towns of Serbia and last one year. Goal of this project is to help to socially vulnerable, old and elderly persons, children, disabilities and elderly who are immobile and dependent of others people help. In this Bulgarian Municipality, significantly improved way of life of socially vulnerable groups thanks to the support and funds of EU but and to improvement of work and expanding capacity of the local administration and relevant institutions.
